Planner/Scheduler

Develop the Integrated Schedule

  • Engage with Subject Matter Experts within Design and Comstruction (D&C), Facility Engineering (FE), Permitting & AR to acquire, consolidate and integrate existing schedules and determine key interdependencies to understand and make visible the impact of changes across the Business Unit (BU)
  • Develop procedures for efficient data entry into the scheduling function

Maintaining the Primavera Integrated Schedule

  • Maintain interface with IT support and Primavera user network
  • Organizes and maintains planning / scheduling documentation, provide timely reports and perform sensitivity analysis on the schedule to assist in decision-making for plan changes
  • Formulate solutions for optimizing resource utilization for irregularities in schedule progress
  • Develop and apply understandings for resource constraints within the suite of resources being tracked on the integrated schedule
  • Analyze and critique project execution schedules to provide assurance of their accuracy
  • Facilitate schedule planning sessions with D&C and FE teams
  • Ensure application of standardized Planning & Scheduling work processes

Project Controls (PC)

  • Work with PC analysts to support VOWD and X + Y

Reporting

  • Incorporate Primavera reporting features that meet customer requirements
  • Perform QA/QC on schedule outputs and publish schedules in line with customer and BU requirements

Scheduler

Position Summary:

Responsible for the planning and scheduling of construction/engineering department projects supporting Project Managers and Project Engineers. Analyzes contractual commitments, client specifications, design changes and other data to plan and develop logistic program activities from conceptual stage through life cycle of product. Assess schedule durations, cost loading, activity coding and work breakdown structure.

Perform schedule impact analysis for modifications. Evaluates current procedures and recommends changes to improve the efficiency of planning and scheduling of projects. Conducts planning and coordination meetings as required to support planning and monitoring functions.

Responsible for company resource planning. Gathers and analyzes information to prepare reports on the progress of projects and ensures that assignment and scheduling of work follows company policy. Produces reports as required to support project needs, ensuring schedule-coding structure supports management reporting requirements.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be a self-motivated individual, possess excellent communications skills and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft Project and Primavera scheduling software.
  • Must have knowledge of the Critical Path Method.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures a plus.

Project Controls Specialist


Position Summary:

Position in Anchorage, Alaska to provide Project Controls within Client Systems and extensive Microsoft Excel use. Primavera P6 knowledge a plus.

Thoroughly understand the principles of planning/scheduling & cost control. Track project schedule and cost. Establishes initial project budgets and prepares succeeding budget updates. Provide forecasting, budgeting and monthly actuals. Point of contact between Client and Client’s subcontractors ensuring costs billed accurately are in compliance with contract terms. Identify and investigate project budget and schedule variances. Prepares bi-weekly and monthly cost reporting. Analyze and use financial data to identify key project issues.
